Compared to the banger year that was 2020, 2021 was a relatively quiet one for PlayStation- but we’re at a point where even relatively quiet years are brimming with excellent games to play across a variety of different genres.
PS5 and PS4 players had no shortage of excellent games to choose from over the last 12 months, and here, we’re going to highlight a handful of those as the ones that we enjoyed the most- before picking one of them as the ultimate winner for the year.

I got resident evil village long ago, and I did not get my PS5 yet LOL. The game is what made me what to get PS5. I am planning on getting tomorrow along with some more games.

Returnal makes me rage…. getting halfway through a playthrough, beat the third boss, got to 4th diome. Got a lockdown alert on the location I was in, and got swarmed by 2 of those Big fast guys with the tails that you first encounter on the first playthrough of the first diome. I was running desperately to grab a health bar, and then the mofo landed one lucky hit, taking out 80 percent of my health killing me instantly…. man they do so much damage in the later biomes that less skillful players really got to grind to beat this game. Once i beat it, im never playing again 🤣

Returnal is a masterpiece
Most of these games feel like they are geared towards Japanese crowd, hope the whole generation isn't like that. Series X looks more enticing for future atm

Honestly life is strnage true colours is so underrated in my opinion. It had a little bit of a slow beginning but the story was amazing and that ending was really unexpected. MY only complaint was that one of the cutscenes was 15 minutes (it might have glitched for me though since it was repeating the same thing over and over) anyways the story was amazing the visuals were great and the characters were really well developed
