Honestly they are trying to make these games so lifelike that it is taking too much time to make the games.
Based on sales. I think you missed out how many people live in the world now. Percentage wise. Now it's much easier is to buy these things. Economics.. Many bums get away without working. Lots more kids with parents that don't care will buy them things to keep them quiet. A bit like phones and tablets. Bargain for peace and quiet.

Great vid. I’m an old grey haired gamer who remembers starting out with a ‘pong’ type console and have lived and played trough every generation (and still going strong), I have enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane and have learned quite a few things on the way. Love your channel.

I just started watching this video. I'm Guessing they think the Playstation 2 Video Game System is the best console ever ? Well I'm done watching and I'm right ! ! It is the Playstation 2 U probably going to think I'm Crazy Lol but my favorite System ever is the
Sega Dreamcast. A lot of people had a issue with it because the Playstation came out a little later with a DVD player built into the Playstation ,but I all ready had a DVD player I got it in January of 1997 so I just kept Rockin the Dreamcast for a long time.

The PS2 definitely deserved the top spot. I remember when it was released, the anticipation was unrivaled by any other console ever.

Video games are gay
There are a lot of obscure consoles on this video. One I remember he said had 20,000 ever built. No point to include these things. Much better to take the top 30 systems that had sales off 250,000 or more (perhaps the floor should be whatever 3D0’s sales were, or Sega CD) making it a ranking of mainstream consoles.
Who cares about these tic-tac-toe systems run on VHS?

When you make the list of mobile consoles, I'd say the top is the Nintendo 3DS and the bottom is the stack of red LED based single-game handhelds such as the Tiger Electronics Football type thing.

The worst one in your list that I actually owned was the Sega Genesis 32X. I did mostly like the Doom game and the Star Wars game, but otherwise, I wasn't impressed with it. I sold it after having it for about a year and it's probably the only console that I've sold that I haven't wished that I still had. The regular Sega Genesis console without the 32X is still super fun to play today.
I may have wound up getting a Colecovision back in the day had I not still been heavily invested in the Atari 2600 and still looking for 2600 carts. It seems like it could have been a good console to play.
It's a shame that by 1986-1988, the console market was considered 'dead' as was the Atari 2600, because games like Gravitar and Solaris were passed over at the time and have been almost forgotten about today. They proved what the console was truly capable of. Sadly, this is what often happens in the waning years of a console's 'life', though some late games are better received such as the Nintendo WiiU's Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild which is now often confused for a launch title for the Switch, while it plays perfectly well on the WiiU. The WiiU is what the Wii should have been to start with just like the Nintendo 64 should have been the Gamecube had they kept working on it.

Not only did the Saturn offer online playing, but not mentioning that it was the Dreamcast that broke into online gaming is a bit criminal and an absolute slight to the legacy of Sega. Hell, Sega is even responsible for other game consoles being created by other makers simply because they failed to create their own console commuting parts (sorry, don't really know what to call it, not a computer or gaming genius or nerd) they reached out to companies like Panasonic (I think, or maybe it was Sony, or both) and Microsoft to produce their internals.
The Tandy console was only sold in Radio Shack because Tandy (originally a leather goods company) sold all their computers/consoles via Radio Shack because they owned the retail chain during the time period.
I think Magnavox or even every otjer pong machine isnt worst console of all time. xD I understand grouping it togheter, but dont understand putting them on last place.

I had a videosmarts. The one BEFORE the one highlighted in this video. My mother still to this day attributes this machinery for my incredibly high intelligence. She now hates that I still play video games approaching 40 years ago. What can you do?

Ps2 deserves the top spot. But the other consoles are definitely skewed. Dreamcast should be higher. Xbone should be higher although NOT higher than #10. Wii U was too high, but hD some good games. Meh, this list was good fk it

For me the best of the classic era late 80s late 90s were sega genesis/CD original nintendo N64 and PS1
I was never a fan of the ps1 or 2 and I still don't understand fascination. The graphics on the ps1 put me of and the ps2 didn't do much for me so the ps I actually ownedwas the ps3.
For some reason I remember my Commodore 64 having a keyboard. Maybe it was just a commodore that my dad somehow rigged to play the Comm64 games.
My wife is a casual-at-best gamer who has been brought into the more hard-core or obscure games by me. She mostly hates older (pre-Genesis/MegaDrive) consoles with the exception of two systems: the NES which she grew up with and oddly enough, the Vectrex. She had no prior experience with the system but found the titles I showed her to be quite a bit of fun, actually enjoying them more than even I did.
playstation 2 and xbox 360 are top worst
The fact that the Nintendo Switch has sold 30 million more consoles a year and a half later speaks volumes for how popular the console has become. It will end up surpassing the PS2 in sales and popularity. (Although, I love the PS2)
I can't believe the Xbox 360 got number 2 best that console was garbage. They all over heated and Microsoft had to replace everyone's console that had red ring of death,the controllers used AA batteries which is sooo 90s,it hardly had any good exclusive titles,it lacked so many features that the ps3 had such as blutooth,bluray,motion controllers,3d gaming,etc.. ps3 had soooo many advantages over the 360. Xbox never did anything special. It was basically a console that played non exclusive games that were also available on ps3 or pc..

modern gaming sort of unfinish product.example doa 6 ps4 .You need to spend alot of money to get costume,update ,characters …etc.More to scam than actual game.I miss those day where you buy a game once off payment and get a full game.
dreamcast online was first
I owned a VTech Socrates. Loved it to no end and enjoyed the hell out of it.
Really short changed the NES. Single handedly rebuilt the industry, and spawned many beloved videogame series. Should have placed at least above the original Xbox.
At least wii is in the top 10 i would've been so sad if it wasn't because the games were truly revolutionary
Your forgetting the by far and away greatest selling video game system of all time. You would have to combine all of the systems on this list to compete. The PC baby!!!
