As a Cleveland sports fan, this my sports life story. They get close enough to win it all just to break your heart. The NBA finals in 2016 was our one big win in recent history but I have a feeling thats it for a while.
This game legitimately shaved probably 10 years off my life.
And I’m so glad I went through it.
Easy call. People forget just how bad a manager Joe Maddon is. This is the single worst managed game in the history of baseball. The Indians never had any business being in it at all. And bc of Joe Maddon they honestly should have won it. Plus besides his horrific mismanagement in this game (including what's left out of this vid, a bunt attempt w Baez in the 9th), he had used Chapman unnecessarily the game before this, which combined w his high game 5 usage is why his arm was gone and the Indians were seeing him so well.

As a Cubs fan this was the game that made me the anxious mad and happy at the same time
Cubs fan my entire life and I was so anxious during this game I thought I was going to have a panic attack. It’s definitely the best baseball game I’ve ever watched. Incredible drama.

My 74 year old grandpa has been a life long Cubs fan and same goes for me and my family but when the Cubs won the World Series I had never seen my grandpa so happy. It is a moment I will never forget this whole game will go done as probably the best game in Cubs history

One of the top 20, maybe even top 10 series of all time. I mean come on, the history. The two teams with the longest World Series droughts! Definitely the greatest game. Fowler’s leadoff, Ross’s Homer, Davis’s Homer, the rain delay, the whole tenth inning. Maybe I’m a little biased being a cubs fan.
