The Assassin’s Creed franchise has spanned the globe since it debuted in 2007, and entries have taken players from Renaissance Italy to Ancient Greece to the American Revolution. Along the way, the series has changed dramatically, from sequels that made good on the promise of past entries to entirely new takes on character progression. IGN’s biggest Assassin’s Creed fans came together to agree, argue, and eventually cull together our favorites.

  1. How is Odyssey, Rouge, and Syndicate on here but not AC3 smh 🤦

  2. IMO, the hanging scene in part 2 will always be burned in my memories for top Video game moments. Anyone else feel the same way?

  3. This list is the perfect example of why people don’t take IGN seriously. And that’s coming from a dude who stopped playing AC years ago.

  4. 12: Valhalla (didn't play)
    11: Rogue
    10: Oddysey
    9: Syndicate
    8: Revelations
    7: AC2
    6: AC1
    5: Black Flag
    4: Unity
    3: Origins
    2: AC3
    1: Brotherhood

  5. My top 10 AC games:
    1. Assassin's Creed 2
    2. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
    3. Assassibs Creed 3
    4. Assassin's Creed Revelantions
    5. Assassin's Creed Black flag
    6. Assassin's Creed Origins
    7. Assassin's Creed Rouge
    8. Assassin's Creed Syndicate
    9. Assassin's Creed Unity
    10. Assassin's Creed Freedom cry

  6. Black Flag is not only the best Assassin's Creed's games, it's one of my favorite I've ever played.

  7. Origins was my favorite game of the last gen. Super underrated game 👑🔥

  8. Unity 10th?!? Stopped watching after that 😐😠

  9. Wow oddeysey over assains creed 2 and brotherhood

  10. Why tf is Valhalla & syndicate up there and assassins creed 3 not even mention. Come on IGN

  11. Top 3 should always be like this for Old School bois typically

    1-AC 2 Original
    2-AC 1
    3-AC BrotherHood

  12. We’re was Conner Native American assassin and adwale are freedom assassin

  13. I'm glad to see Syndicate that high up, my favourite AC right after AC2!

  14. Black flag will always be the best 🙌🔥👌

  15. Worst list of all time. It’s assassins creed 2 all day every day!

  16. The issue here is that Brotherhood is not #1

  17. Putting valhalla and syndicate at a higher place than brotherhood and revelations, is a crime.

  18. Valhalla at number 6 and Odyssey at number 3 out of all AC games? Wonder why nobody cares about IGN anymore. Better look at any of the myriad of videos on YouTube by serious fans of the series.

  19. Ac 1 and ac3 deserve alot much better

  20. Using Origins as a reference to what made two of your picks great means Origins should have been in there. Not having the very first game in the top 10 is the weirdest thing ever. No matter where it's placed, it is the game that started it all and lead to what it today.

And no AC3?! Literally the best fighting mechanics of any game. Was the first one to attempt multiple interior buildings that lead to just being a constant in every game to follow.

IGN doesn't really know anything about games do they?

  21. Valhalla and Syndicate over Brotherhood?!! This is such a joke

  22. The original game, Altair brings me back to my teenage years and fond memories of enjoying that game to the max. Nostalgia.

  23. Omfg it starts off with Unity, you couldn’t even play this game until years later…

  24. ezios trilogy should be first than black flag than the rest because ezio is the reason this franchise exists and what they did to last three parts is really bad

  25. Assassin Creed Syndicate was and will always be my favorite

  26. AC Syndicate is the last true Assassin's Creed. 🇬🇧 🍵 🥯 👑 🦁 💷 💂‍♂️ 👸

  27. Nice list, but here is mine:
    1.Assassins Creed Brotherhood
    2. Assassins Creed 2
    3. Assassins Creed Origins
    4. Assassins Creed Odyssey
    5. Assassins Creed black flag
    6. Assassins Creed revelations
    7. Assassins Creed 1
    8. Assassins Creed Valhalla
    9. Assassins Creed 3
    10. Syndicate
    11. Unity
